The Guardian reports on Which? research findings that found three in five households adjusted their spending while the housing payments of 700,000 lagged, including one in 20 tenants.
“Overall, an estimated 2 million households missed or defaulted on at least one mortgage, rent, loan, credit card or bill payment in April,” The Guardian reported.
And while bills including energy and council taxes are the most commonly missed, household cashflow adjustments include “cutting back on essentials, dipping into savings, selling possessions or borrowing”.
